I found the email some how, I am going to post it here word for word as a reference to current and future owners of this scope.

 

"Please removed the dew shield first , just loose all three screws start from 1/8 turn counterclockwise .

Wait for 6 hours and see if it will fix the shape on star.

If not ,try again with 1/8 turn and check.

See pictures attached

I think it will fix the problem.
Please let me know.

Ooooh-ho-hoo, you're the man!! Thanks so much for posting this.

I was beginning to think it was the collimation screws because the others were pretty loose.

 

I'll report back my findings to this thread as soon as I can; overcast for the time being.
