As a very long time user of Sky Safari Pro, I would very much like to ask Bill and crew to support this wonderful new Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi mount for us iOS users without having to resort to the work-around of using the SynScan on one device and Sky Safari Pro on a second device. I do have both an iPhone and iPad, but very much looking forward to the convenience of using one device. Thanks!
Sky Safari Pro and Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi support

Does this work like the Sky-Watcher WiFi-module you can purchase separately? From your description it sure sounds like it. They have promised to slot in support for that after they release the Android version. My personal interpretation of what they have said is late November or something like that.

Thanks, Bill! This AZ-GTi mount has been so awesome, and if I can control it off my iPad OR iPhone... with the tilt to slew. Wow.
It has been working ok with the iPhone and iPad work-around, but issues when one of the two loose connection. Once you get this working, this is a game changer for a true grab-n-go mount that works with SkySafari.
Thank you for saving me from buying an Android tablet I recently bought the add-on star catalogues on my iOS SkySafari Pro and was not looking forward to have buy an Android tablet and android Sky Safari Pro version to make this work with one device.

Hard to say on an ETA. We are working with SkyWatcher on this. Still in the experimental stage. Maybe a month or so.

The wifi interface if working fine with both windows and IOS. I am trying to align it with a Nikon D750 as the "telescope" , Is there a simple photo of what direction to mount the camera on the mount? It seems to go reverse from the arrows on the SynScan App. Also a simple step by step procedure to align it using your skywatcher wedge for a novice would be great.

Will it work in a stand alone mode on a single i-device (that is, without having to have SynScan running) or will it still require two i-devices to work, with one of them running SynScan?

Hi Roger. Getting SkySafari and AZ-GTi control to work on a single iOS device is what they are working on accomplishing. I am VERY much looking forward to the update!

Just one iOS device will be needed.

I don't know if this helps any, but the Indi eqmode driver now supports the az-gti:
Maybe a look at their code mods would help? I must admit I haven't followed indi driver development in a long time, so I can't offer any help other than the link.
Love SkySafari btw. My favorite planetarium app.

Any update on this? I had hoped that Version 6.2.2 would have included the AZ-GTI support but no mention of such in the update notes.

Still working on it. Maybe another couple of weeks. It is turning out to be a more involved task than originally thought.

We are now waiting for a new code library from SkyWatcher that implements what we need. Still a few weeks out.

Thanks Bill. Once this gets sorted out, i suspect the AZ-GTi and SkySafari Pro will be amazing for outreach and quick setup with EAA cameras.
