Anyone know if this ever sold? No, been there, done that! I’m not interested in purchasing it, just curious as to if anyone else did. It is an eyecatcher with that brass plating, and quite an old model 152/155 at a good price.

I remember this scope when it was advertised in 2014. Thought it was very interesting.  However, the brass plating made me shy away.

Does anyone have experience with these .965" filters? The rim is thicker than old stock Celestron and Meade filters.

It's a Towa 60mm 700mm. Looks like Sears colors, but it might be a different importer.

I have no experience, but an educated guess is some entity in China has seen a potential market for 0.965 filters, and has manufactured some new ones.

New record price! Much rather have a newer version when they were made with better equipment. I would jump if it was across the street for  $19.99

I guess that for $7.45 shipped I will give them a try and report back.

These look to be planetary contrast filters along with a greenish neutral density Moon filter, not 'nebula'. At the price though they look to be a pretty good deal.

Yes I also noticed the "nebula" bs. I would not buy a generic solar filter from an unknown source, but for planets there is no risk other than seeing through a vignetted bottle bottom worst case scenario.

I ordered some and they should arrive in a week or so.  I'll be comparing them to my Optica b/c filters.  You can't complain about the price.

This would be an excellent telescope for someone. Lightweight, quality craftsmanship and a great lens. The aperture bump from 80 mm is worthwhile.

If I did not own a telescope and wanted to get into the hobby, I would jump on this. Bigger Dobs are too much to lug around IMHO.

What is true about the praise for the Vixen 80mm is also true of this. With more aperture.

If it comes with a 0.965 visual back a thread on 1.25" visual back should be easy to find.

There's something not quite right with this one.  It's not a classic, but it's vintage, and a Tanzutsu...

Another red tube Edmund Newtonian on an equatorial mount.  $125 in northern MN.  Looks like an 8”?
