Just how many threads are we going to devote to this absurd topic? At last count there are already four of these threads running on CN and it seems that each time I log on another pops up! This whole news story is a study in utter nonsense and it is very troubling to see that today's hobbyists don't seem to even begin to understand what impossible criteria need to be met to make such a program actually practical, let alone the astronomical expense involved that could never justify it.

I bet anyone $100 that this "moon in the sky" thing is just another Hoax. Any takers on this bet? If there aren't any takers then shut up and do some observing tonight instead!
