Thank You!  I was thinking about buying it myself -- it would be my 3rd TAK scope.  I bet the performance will be stunning!

Be even better, coolwise, if it included the mount!

I guess all the Unitrons are finally gone, eh?  wink.gif

You should get it because if you don't, you'll kick yourself in the head later.  Get it, try it, you can always get your money back or a big chunk of it if it disappoints you, right?  And you won't be disappointed.

I have a couple of Tak mounts that will work with it.

Go for it! They are superb Newtonians. I still have a tinge of regret for not getting a complete MT130 kit a while back when I had the chance. Takahashi is currently out of the Newtonian business I believe. That’s a shame?

Still have yet to own a Tak. Had one on loan from a friend(FS102) and used another (FS128) one a bit. The 128 is great, but more than I will pay for a telescope.  The 102 is superb, but still only a 4" scope.

I love my two Takahashi refractors (FC-76 and FC-60). Though my Swift 839 (60mm achromat) was perportedly made by Takahashi (AVA maker’s mark, many similarities to the first Takahashi labeled achromats, etc.), I prefer to think of it as my Swift. To call it a Takahashi is to me, a bit pretentious. ;)

Don't forget my 1960s Swift 838 -- I sure don't.  It stays in the shed now, covered by an ancient very soft bath towel with a huge vinyl tarp over that.  Always ready to hop outside & evaluate the skies.

I bet if we start using big words we will get less comments from people that make comments which are more like fillers during a gap in the conversationlol.gif
