I think this will be very hard,  You get a whole picture of the scope, not just boxes.  Need Manufacturer and Model.  If you saw this on auction, please no guesses smile.gif

OK I thought that the visual back has a non-Japanese look, if such thing exists.

It does look eerily  déjà vu familiar... But, in that case, I'll withdraw my guess... "1960 Volkswagen Beetle" … sigh...  Tom

Is it a Borg or a Vixen

Yes, kind of

That Borg type helical focuser is original.

I am guessing it was made by Vixen, but sold under a different company's name.

I searched with Google for similar images.  All I got was water-heater tanks.

So my guess is Whirlpool.  ;)

You've severely limited the members able to participate by eliminating fools. Open it up so the rest of us can get involved.   :)

Interestingly looking scope.  The finder has that look typical of Tascos and the like of that era .

Jon

Jon,

You hit on something there.  The finder is low quality and does not at all match the optics, focuser, or accessries quality.  This helical focuser is the best I have ever used.

I knew this would be tough....but wow, it must be really tough.  It's Vixen.  It comes with a case with the scope model name embroidered in the case.  The lens cover is ORIGINAL.  Yikes!  Now for the model????

Is this the one that was listed on Zenmarket?

It it is a cool looking scope, by the way. How are the optics?
