New moon phase is cold with garbage weather almost two weeks in a row.  Full moon phase comes around and it's warm and absolutely gorgeous for two weeks.  Three months in a row now. bawling.gif

I feel your pain.  Never fails.  We did have a very clear night here last night.  5-6 of our club members showed up with scopes

and it was very nice viewing and chatting.    37 degrees (Brrr )  but clear and wind free.   

 

Don't see many winter nights like that in Oregon, but we get a few.

It's probably my fault since I bought a new Tamron 150-600mm lens on October 17th. Since then in the Chicago area... total clouds.

Hey, it's getting close to another new moon phase again!

 

Yep, looks about right.  Had to cancel a trip to Utah because it was going to be 15 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Andy, I have used my Tamron 150-600 with a SkyGuider Pro several times. Best I could do so far was 60" at 500mm. I'm curious to know what kind of results you get with that combination.
