New moon phase is cold with garbage weather almost two weeks in a row. Full moon phase comes around and it's warm and absolutely gorgeous for two weeks. Three months in a row now.

I feel your pain. Never fails. We did have a very clear night here last night. 5-6 of our club members showed up with scopes
and it was very nice viewing and chatting. 37 degrees (Brrr ) but clear and wind free.
Don't see many winter nights like that in Oregon, but we get a few.

It's probably my fault since I bought a new Tamron 150-600mm lens on October 17th. Since then in the Chicago area... total clouds.
