Seems that if you've been wanting a Unitron there's no better time than the present!

Good time to buy, not so great to sell.

That's a 10" Starfinder, mildly overpriced since it's dusty and there are no pictures of the optics.

I've been going on & on about Dave Trott's Deals, and for lots of very good reasons.  If it's okay with our Moderators, and as a service to new Classic Forum members & fans, here's some more CN Sellers who regularly offer the vintage gear we love:

- Brian Dewelles [brian dewelles] --> https://www.cloudyni...fieds&mid=94160

- Sheldon F. [MASILMW] --> https://www.cloudyni...ieds][sortDir]=

- Joe Sunseri [starbird] --> https://www.cloudyni...fieds&mid=47548

- Anaformose [xavier] --> https://www.cloudyni...fieds&mid=33796

Not only have I bought stuff from them, but when I've asked for help finding some rare / unusual astro-gizmo, they've been more than happy to search, too.

And there are many more people here on CN, who sell good stuff, but are not on that short list.

Then mention them -- provided they're not your friends.

None of those Sellers are my friends, either, so I don't get the TOS citation -- or its applicability.

This one's been for sale for a long time. Much nicer condition, suppose to be like new. The only reason I didn't buy it was because I thought it was too much $$$. Maybe not if the one you posted is any indication.

If I was looking for one  I like the one you suggest better......I got the first scope c-80 on a polaris mount and tripod  as a craigslist rescue for I think 60.00   But the premium c-80 is so nice  especially the one you point out

The facebook one is very very nice    the seller says they are moving   perhaps an offer is appropriate,,,,,

I have been in contact with the seller several times. The problem was that they wouldn't budge on the price. They must be taking a very long time to move or they took it with them because I first contacted them July 3rd.

If someone wishes for the Cave in Connecticut, I can pickup and hold it while they make arrangements for transport. I have shipped a Meade 8” f/6 GEM in the past. Wasn’t cheap, but doable. I would love to have it, but a three flight ascent/descent is not enough fun.

My same problem. The only way that I could use it on my backyard observing pad would be to navigate stairs up from my walk out basement. It’s too big to use on my deck and too big to store on the main floor of my house and the pier would never go thru the kitchen door. It is a wonderful thing to look at tho and I would imagine it would be a blast to use. I will content myself with my much more transportable 6” F4.5.

Don't complicate it.  We just don't want people habitually posting ads for friends- as favors or fanboi.  It's OK if you know the person or have purchased from them before.  Just don't be "in cahoots" with someone.

A ramp as an option to stairs possibly ? lol.gif

Need to fill in some gaps? Andy has just put up several nice Unitron eyepieces and accessories as well as some other vintage gear. Check it out! (I really like the Unitron 9mm and 7mm Symmetrical eyepieces.)

The RA has its tube mounted upside down. DEC lock is on the right fork as you use it, pointed back to the operator.
