I don't know if this is old news for CN.

"A man from El Segundo, California, has been sentenced to 26 months in prison for a cyberattack against the world’s largest astronomy forum, Cloudy Nights. He was apparently angry about getting banned from the website."

Mods feel free to remove this if this is a duplicate or if there are other threads on this.

The economic damage that these folks do is uncountable.

The bloat ware, and tightening security on computer networks, costs huge amounts

of peoples' time, talent, and uncountable CPU cycles.

We have rows of people responsible for for security issues where I work.

All that super talent could be adding new features or removing bugs.

When I worked on a help desk a non-negligible percent of the calls were traced down

to side effects of virus/security add ons.

This has been discussed in the OTO forum, so I am locking this.
