HI,

Would the 365 cover for 11"-14" set on a gem also cover a 130mm refractor on a gem?  I figured it would and was trying to save money by buying one cover I can use depending on the scope I have mounted.  Thanks.

Joe,

I cannot give a definitive answer but I suspect it will cover the combination so long as the refractor is not much longer that the SCT tube itself.

I have the larger 11"-14" TeleGizmos 365 cover for my Celestron EdgeHD 11" mounted on an Orion HDX110-EQG mount. The top portion covering the SCT is very roomy. I probably have at least 8" 10 10" of space under the back (business end) of the SCT and probably 10" or more space at the top of the SCT when covered. I have to "bunch up" the excess material of the 365 cover to keep it from flapping in the wind too much. The extra empty space under the cover tends to allow the unbound cover to act like a sail if it gets windy.

John

It is the perfect cover for a 130mm refractor. I used to do that all the time.

Thx for the responses.  I know the the 130mm is about 32-33" and the c11 is about 24" so that sounds good.  Happy Holidays.

p.s.  do you leave your scope out all the time with it?

Yes it will. I bought one for my C11 about 9 years ago and I've been able to use it on every other telescope that I've owned. The fit may be a bit sloppy with it will be OK and the 365 versions seem to last forever.

I keep my scope out all the time under one. Very nice to go outside and pull the cover off and enjoy.
