I was surprised it came out as well as it did for this one was within the LP skyglow of a red zone in my area. The NB filters paid off as I tried this DSO before with a DSLR at a dark site and it wasn't nearly as good data then. The 178MM was set at max 270 gain & 50 offset.

 

NGC 246 Skull Nebula in Cetus
Celestron C14 & Hyperstar
Astro-Physics 1100GTO
ASI 1178MM-c with 2" Baader HA & OIII
30 subs each filter @ 120 seconds each
Captured and stacked in Nebulosity processed in PI & Photoshop CC

Nice work on the skull. But your alternate process looks like a few 'artifacts' crept in. laugh.gif
