There was some very faint double tail indication on the processed cometstack from december 14 so i processed the december 16 images in the same way. And it seems like the double tails have a different orientation on the 16th.

Can't say for sure. Would like to see Larson-Sekanina filter used here.

Can't say for sure. Would like to see Larson-Sekanina filter used here.

Thank you for that suggestion! I tried different filter settings and got the best result with radial inc: 20 / angulair inc: 4 and amount 0.3.

Found this Hisayoshi Kato image made on december 15 that confirms the 2 tails.
