60mm x 910mm Atco for $50 bucks in California, some assembly required.

https://inlandempire...6790879143.html

Looks pretty much like this one:

https://www.cloudyni...?hl=+atco +1253

But not in as nice a condition. The handle is missing form the box, and it's in many pieces. No picture of the objective. Could be a challenge to get it to ship OK without using a second package for the mount. Maybe there's someone in the Palm Springs area? Riverside club?

If it's the same, then it would have a Yamatar lens. They're really nice scopes, and it would be great for it to go to someone who will put it back in shape.

8" LX10 from a lazy estate sale flipper who clearly didn't bother to calculate the shipping price, because it's absurd

My apologies if this one has already been posted but it would be a nice pickup for someone close. I would inquire on shipping but I already have 3 like it. Nice Asahi Pentax 60mm x 800mm with box and accessories, $125 bucks

Starman876,

Is that a good price for the Edmund Scientific Palomar Junior 4.25" f/10.6 Reflector Telescope?

Thank you,

The C5 spotters had very spotty optics on AVG and were all over the board. Friend had 3 that were not that great.

Starman876,

Is that a good price for the Edmund Scientific Palomar Junior 4.25" f/10.6 Reflector Telescope?

Thank you,

That's a price that is going to be partly based on the nostalgia. That version is quite a bit different from the other Edmund Palomar Junior, also called the Deluxe Space Conqueror.  Those two names were both used by Edmund and are a bit crossed up application.  I have both types of scopes in Colorado, and my version of that model would be nicer. If I were to sell either my versions, they could go cheaper than the posted one. I think that seller is OK with the $150 for an asking price, and I might even go that far if I actually put them up for sale but I'd be willing to take less for sure if I posted for that much. If you want pictures of the variations or other info, let me know in pm or open a new string on the subject so this string doesn't become a scope specific discussion.  Plenty here will comment on the scope, it tends to give nice images, it's nostalgic, has the looks, durable old school construction, pretty.

Try this string, scan through the pictures till you see what looks like that posted scope. There will be quite a bit of info around that area with other pictures.

Charlie do you still have the scope(s) in this string?

https://sarasota.cra...6776602148.html 8" Tasco reflector, sounds real iffy on the primary... I see I'm not the only one who spotted that eastern NC banjo/scope trader! Lol.

Interesting looking ATM mount.  Might be a bit pricey, depending on the guts of that drive, I suppose.

I have a similar Carton made Swift Aerolite 859, but it has a cardboard box and metal telescopic legs. I'd much rather have one with the wood box and wood tripod.

Yes, I do.  I  also have another that I picked up locally two years ago.  They are fine scopes, but they are just plain too cumbersome to lug around.  I've offered one to a local CN'er, so I know it will eventually be in good hands.

Kenko Spacia 800C OTA -->  https://astromart.co...grain-100mm-ota

Can't tell if it's a Corrected Dall-Kirkham (like the Model 125C I once owned).  The yellow tube & styling was common in Europe.  Too bad the excellent KES mount isn't for sale, too.

Not sure if this has 'classic' status but uncommon and desirable, a Meade LX200 GPS SMT 7" MAK in Mountain View (SF Bay Area, peninsula), CA.

https://sfbay.craigs...6794031547.html

And I believe from the same seller a Vixen 80mm binocular that take 1.25" EPs and on a Vixen Custom Deluxe mount/tripod. I'm not into binoculars but that is a nice setup at what I'm guessing is a bit more than a fair price:
