Hi,

I've an old Meade 10" LX-50 that I love even with its weight.  I'd like to add a second finder base.  Is it best to use a double base on the existing base mount or those holes or is there a way to add a second base to the body of the scope?  I'd rather not drill... . Any advice appreciated

Chris

Chris,

I'd suggest ADM bars and rings.

https://www.admaccessories.com/

$60 for a MDS dovetail bar for a 10" Meade.

Select the appropriate sized MDS rings.

Hope this is what you're looking for!

Okay cool.  So the rail just attaches to the screws on the front & back of the scope, attach accessories as needed.  Good idea!!  Thanks!!
