Well, my laptop crapped out so I had to buy a new one, and of course, reinstall all my programs.  This gets me thinking, what particular settings should I use for the IEQ45 in phd2 (mount settings)?    With Commander taking over do I even need to worry about that? tracking rate? Algorithm?  etc?   Who wants to get out there and not have good guiding because there is some inane setting that needs to be tweaked? so I thought I better ask.

thank you

Try the predictive guiding algorithm. The default settings for that works just fine.

For guide rate use between 0.5 and 0.75.

Use exposures between 1-3 seconds. See what correction rate works for you.
