3 x Jaegers 6" Refractors -->  https://www.cloudyni...tage-large-etc/

From F5 to F10. Seller has several other vintage fracs, too.

A Clave Paris 66 x 1000mm refractor.

Starts at $730 for the OTA...  I'd rather have a CZJ Telementor kit (scope & EQ) for a couple hundred more.

Oh JW, have I got a deal for you!

There is an NJP Mount and a FS-128 on eBay with starting bid ($6000), which is less than the AP900. Plus, it comes with some naglers and an SBIG ST-8 camera.

Link

The seller originally had it listed as an FS-78. I had an email exchange and suggested he change it to the FS-128 with NJP mount. It was an estate find, apparently.

For the current bid price, it is a very good deal. I had the exact set-up and it is extremely nice. The NJP is one mount I wish I had kept as I could do 5min unguided subs with no trailing at 600mm focal length.

If it was the older gray 160 NJP and in FL i would be in the Vette and on the way.  That would hold my 8" Newt fine.

Still a very nice scope for the price. Looks like a 6” F8.

I have nothing to do with this item or the price change, but I'm glad to see the change. It looks like a private party that had no idea of the value. They SHOULD get more than $45.  If I walked into somebody's house and found that at $45,  I'd never leave without insisting on at least $100 and I'd explain my experience, and I'd probably tell them it's an easy over $200 scope within the experienced market.  I've done things like that before. This a grey area that could go into ad nauseum discussion, but for me it would be a great buy at $130 and a discussion of enlightenment for the seller at $45.

Dave cut the price on this RARE Takahashi TS-50 kit -->  https://www.cloudyni...i-ts50-reduced/

If it's still on the market when I get my "mad money" (income tax refund), I'm gonna have to nab it.  Our youngest grandson is getting my Swift 838, and I can't imagine not having a Classic 50mm EQ...

(Yes, I could build an EQ "kit" around my Tak FC-50, but it wouldn't be the same.)

Indeed.  This appears to be a very early RV-6 with a Deluxe Dynascope tube and a very early Dec slo-mo AND in great shape.  While an RV-6 is a dime a dozen, this configuration is rather rare.  It's probably an RV-6 worthy of a $300 price tag to a collector (perhaps more).

Them old 6" f/8 mirrors can be killers for sure.  I had a 1950's 6" F/8 Dynascope years ago around 1981 and it was really built well with the 1.5" shaft mount.

That's an excellent price!  Use the Q's 1/4-20 block, attach it to a Vixen dovetail, and use it on just about any alt/az or EQ mount out there -- it's a lite scope.

The parental units would flip if they saw $850 disappear like that. Should I jump on it?

Checked my bank account and I probably shouldn't get it.... oh well. Really need to get rid of some stuff.

At that price you could call it an investment and be truthful.

Perhaps I'm too paranoid, but when I see "0" feedbacks and " has been an eBay member since Jan 13, 2019" I get a tad twitchy.
