This just got relisted in NJ. It's been on before, multiple times. Towa 339 80/1200 with collimatable cell. Focuser resembles a 10TE but the finder is mounted on it at an angle. Has the sun screen and mount. Three different tripods, one mount. Looks pretty dirty, and may have fungus. $100 Possible source of parts?

Lawdy!  Lawdy!  Miss Pawdy!!

Dave has dropped the price on that awesome Mogey 3" EQ kit -->  https://www.cloudyni...3-inch-reduced/

Mine never had a finder, and was on some traditional style alt/az mount of heavy-duty brass (the "eye" bracket on the OTA was 3x thicker than the others I've seen).  Dave made this one a beautiful display AND a fully functioning long refractor.  (Check my Mogey 3 Jupiter photos for a hint of what these antiques can show you.)   Stars colors aren't natural, but the colors are bright & vivid, and the views of open clusters are very good, too -- those pinpoints are as tiny as in any other well-made refractor.

Joe has a 1981 orange tube Celestron C8 Astro with Byers Drive -->  https://www.cloudyni...orm-gear-drive/

2 University Optics Zebra-style Eyepieces -->  https://www.cloudyni...g-125mm-plossl/

NASA called:  They want their glass back!  Astro Physics 6" F8 on Losmandy G11 -->  https://www.cloudyni...n-losmandy-g11/

Yes, that's a Tinsley -- "Saturn" was their consumer / amateur astronomer line of scopes.  My 6" Cass is a Saturn, too.

I'm pretty sure the end of the cardboard box says Tinsley Laboratories.  I'll check next time I go out to my shed.

I thought so, but didn't some have both Tinsley and Saturn on the label?

IDK...  all my large labels have "Saturn" only.  My 1.25"  R50mm Tinsley eyepiece has the "T/L" logo on the side of the black cap, but no Saturn...

Not a telescope,  but astronomy related. For those Goto collectors, a 1965 planetarium on Zenmarket. I have to admit, I was really tempted, but I reall don’t have a spot to display it properly.

I was tempted as I could go pick it up and avoid the shipping. It’s a very good deal.

I wonder if Owen Phairis is still maintaining his  museum.  This would be a nice addition.

I was in Big Bear last June. If I would have known about it I would have checked.

If anyone is interested in buying a planetarium, Steve Pielock is another resource. He has a side business repairing them in the northeast and sometimes comes across projectors for sale.

Steve used to come down and work on the Milford, Ct H/S Goto planetarium, maybe still does? I used to work on the scope and dome but have since moved on. I used to go to the Arunah hills days as well but not for some time.

Nice looking Questar Standard on the Bay.

https://www.ebay.com...ccciw:rk:2:pf:0

Serial number indicates a '79 model, but the seller posted it as '76 because of the date on the catalogs included.

How long will it be before he runs out of telescopes?

One thing's for sure, he sure has been offering a lot of telescopes that ordinarily, you'd have a tough time finding.

Dave Trott's offering comes with a gorgeous hand made tripod and wedge and is $200 cheaper to boot.

And you get the peace of mind knowing that Dave has assessed and approved the optical and mechanical quality of the unit.

If hadn't just purchased his Tinsley 4 inch...
