Hi All,

I would like to show you the first result of a project I recently started: Markarian's Chain and surroundings. This is the first picture of a four panel mosaic. Who knows I might extend it even further as there's always interesting things to see in this part of the sky. But then this will turn into a multiyear exercise.

High res picture of the Markarian's Chain

Details of equipment and exposures can be found here

Thanks for watching!

Bart

Wow. I looked thru the hi-res image and was surprised at all the fuzzies it contains. The final mosaic should be awesome.

Great image as always. It is not easy pulling out details of galaxies in this area, but they really shine in your image.

What a fantastic image Bart! Incredible color, focus, and detail. I’m a fan of diffraction spikes which add a nice touch to your picture. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
