Greenflash,

I'm glad Markus helped you sort out the problem on your 150. He mentioned to me about his frustration in dealing with the factory in China in getting the 150 produced.

I wonder if he would still want to attempt an SD version considering what it took to get the ED going.

Here are some photos of the Mercury transit through my 150 using Baader solar film on homemade holders, and a Baader 8-24 zoom eyepiece with Canon 60D attached.

Loads of stories untold, of course from the other side.

And I don't believe it's up to him to decide whether there will be an SD version.

And personally I doubt there will be an SD version in the near future.

Buy the ED and enjoy, that's my suggestion.

Hopefully there will be a 90° version in the near future ...

Sounds good, Greenflash.  Great that you could do the prism replacement yourself.  Saved a lot of hassle and shipping cost, etc.  Description of your 150 sounds like it is very similar to mine now.  Good work!

Hope you get over that flu soon!

Rick

If you have some "inside information" I'm sure we'd all love to hear the rest of the story! lol.gif

I still think at a certain price point certain things (f. ex with the prisms) should never happen (QC)...

I doubt that. 90° ed version will be the next project.
