Looks like a TeleVue NP127 on Gibraltar mount. "Great condition and great price in case with all accessories . $250 Pick up in Bronx."

Now for something completely different: an orange tube C8. I'm trying to decipher what I don't believe I see;  the unique positioning of a finder.

Looks like a University Optics 8x50 polar alignment finder. Vey nice finder, although the second (polar offset) crosshair is a bit fragile in my experience. Amazing that they could get it to thread onto the rear cell.

I do not think that anyone has seen this application for a finder before.  The rings are still attached to the finder which makes it more amazing.

Certainly did seem like they had a pretty nice picture of it. Not the usual, "I don't know anything about telescopes," kind of ad. Be especially suspicious if they want you to bring cash...

Did a Google Earth search. Doesn’t look at all like a bad neighborhood. Could have belonged to a dead relative and people don’t know how to take a picture? Check it out during the day maybe? Could be one helluva deal!

Hmm if you did a Google Earth search on where I am moving to it might make sense...classic old scopes and 124 year old house.
