Jason,

That really is a stunning A+ image.  The detail, colors, and processing are all outstanding.  You should submit it for an APOD.  It has the appropriate “WOW” factor.  Very well done.

John

thanks John.  Appreciate the comments.

I actually submitted it to APOD last week, but it's kind of like sending it into a black hole. I just have to hope it was seen.

Thank you Joe.

Sheer gorgeous eye candy and something I could stare at all day long.  My mind wanders over to what you could achieve with a 14" SCT.

Thanks.  I feel like I'm in some sort of a happy spot with my image scale, aperture, and sky conditions.  Honestly, I've been afraid to budge from the setup that has been working very well.

I can sure understand your point of view.  Your Astrobin page is incredible and the fact that most, if not all, are pictures using a Celestron HD800 is a testimate of what that scope can achieve in the hands of an expert.  I've pretty much studied all the images on Astrobin of users using the HD800 and no one, and I mean no one even comes close to what you produce Jason.  I always look forward to your pictures and posts regarding processing.

This particular picture is your best work yet IMHO.
