It was mostly cloudy for a large part of the night but I managed to take some photos of the March Full Moon that just happened to occur on the first day of spring and which was somewhat closer to the Earth than its average closest point with a hand-held Canon SX720 HS camera.

The first two shot was taken as the Moon was rising, the next three 2.5 hours later, and the final one two hours after that when there was a partial clearing.

The Super Duper As-The-Worm-Turns Full-and-a-Half Unbelievable Equinox Full Moon was, as usual, a real help for the only clear night in a month last night, washing everything out. lol.gif

Dave—great pics! Thanks for sharing.

I caught the moonrise through high, thin clouds with my binocs. It was great!

Dave,

Nice shots of the Moon from yesterday.

We were clouded out here until early morning.
