Thank you for that Ha sketch. I have to dust off my PST and have a look for myself.

Dear all,

thanks to Uwe Pilz who made heads up for the classic silver point pen (925 silver) in one of his posts about his crater sketches, I ordered such a pen too. Today I played around with it and did a copy of my charcoal sketch of the sun with active region 2736 with the silver point pen:

It was interesting to use such a classic pen and I'm keen on seeing how the sketch might change its color over time.

Clear skies

Achim

Lieber Achim,

real nice sketch with silverpoint. Which paper did you use?  finished with Gesso primer. With this I can use every paper. I have ground some pages im my sketching book.

I already thought about using the silver point at Ha sun. Next time.

Hi Uwe,
thanks!

I just took some artist sketching paper. I did not prepare it with gesso.
Maybe I'll do this some other day with gesso.

Clear skies!

Achim

Achim, thats impressive! You have inspired me to get back to solar observing, seems time is always the enemy.
