Unfortunately, there's an 88% to 85%-illuminated Moon on Saturday night and an 80% to 77%-illuminated Moon on Sunday night.

I'll try to keep an eye out (sky conditions willing).

Love the aurora. Such mystical beauty.

Check on the SPACE WEATHER ENTHUSIASTS DASHBOARD: https://www.swpc.noa...her-enthusiasts

Nothing showing as I write this ( in a snow storm ) at 11:30pm EDT.

The forecast for the best chances seems to be for Saturday from dark until about 1am EDT.

Moon = yes -- but at least the weather is forecast as 'mostly clear' Saturday night for New York. Alas, I'm in the Southern Tier, not the Adirondacks right now.

SolarHam is my favorite. Everything neatly on one page:

Of special interest is the Auroral oval prediction about half way down. Here is a direct link to the larger Northern oval:

and Southern Oval:

I don't see Northern light here! Clear last Friday and I don't see until the Moon raise then cloudy here last night!
