Nearly a full moon last night, but otherwise a beautiful night for taking pictures.  Would there be any color detail that came through all that moonlight?

In the past, reflections of moonlight inside the dew shield had been a problem, so I used a rubber band and a piece of paper to block most of the moonlight.  There was still some gradient in the picture, and that is why the background was kept dark.  Next time: Use something the moonlight will not come through.

This was taken with a Canon 6D,  and a Stellarvue 102 APO f/7.  55x2 min, ISO1600,  using DSS, Star Tools and Gimp.   The Beehive cluster is fairly large, so you will need plenty of field of view to capture this object.
