So I get this highlighted artifact. It is always on that side but not in the same place and some photos don't have it all.

Gear:
Celestron Evolution 8HD w/0.7x Reducer with a Canon 7D MkII

Seems like if it was a hair or dust it would not move nor be missing at times.

Thanks

Do you take flats? Do flats take care of it?

I’ve had something similar, I cleaned my sensor and it went away.

Nope not yet.  Just got stuff yesterday to make a flat box.  Just figured it might be something systematic like the sensor.  What throws me is that it will move up and down the side and be missing all within a set, figured a sensor would not do that.

Just getting going though so I do need to get better at flat, dark and bias.  I had my RAID housing die and was rebuilding stuff so was pausing on starting a reference library.  RAID is recovered and I now have tons of space again.
