where is the small disk battery located that stores the time, location, etc. when the scope is turned off?

also, is it a 2032 battery and how do i go about replacing it?

sorry i forgot to add...this is an 10in lx200gps unit.

Gday fullotto

There is no battery backup for date/time in the LX200s

The last date used is burnt to flash memory, but time is not.

The coin battery on the main board is only there to keep the GPS lump almanac alive.

Gday fullotto

Remove the base plate on the scope and it is on the back of the main PCB

It is a bit tricky to get for removal, but i just use a flat wooden stick to gently push it out

without damaging the spring.

Putting the new one in is very easy after that.
