I figured I'd start a general friendly discussion thread as I don't want to clutter up the "first lights, reviews, and shootouts" thread. Let's keep this civil... we've had 3 or 4 locked threads about this already. smile.gif

I got my notification email today, saying shipping would start in June and continue for several months. My original sign-up time was April 17th, 2018, at 16:21 CDT, for reference, in case anyone is wondering where I was, on, "the list". *cue gnowellsct impending doom music*

Who else got notified? What will you use your Stowaway for? What accessories do you plan to get?

Looks like we posted at the same time. My original signup was around 2:35 Pacific on the 17th. I cant seem to find the original confirmation mail any longer. The notification mail I received came in at 12:50pm Pacific today (4/25). I will be using this mostly for photography purposes, with the occasional visual use. I picked up the Telecompressor and the Kendricks Dew Strap. I use a Kendricks system with my GTX and it works wonderfully, so I will stick with what works.

Once again, I'm a day late...

I got my signup confirmation 4:59PM Pacific on the 18th. I'm guessing perhaps the next batch or so for me. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your data in your 'data data data' thread.

Good idea!wink.gif

My signup was 16:24 CDT on the 17th. The only additional accessories ordered were the telecompressor and flattener.

I have a feeling that if not all, most of those on the list will receive one at some point in time.

I signed up the 17th at 7:34 CST/5:34 AZ time. I had mistakenly said on another thread that I had signed up at 7:34 Pacific but I am traveling in WI at the moment and it corrected the time to CST. So I must be getting close!

I received acknowledgement of being placed on the notification list at 2:25 PM Pacific on 4/17/18 and responded to an email from Daleen today. I contacted her and made it in for the June delivery batch. I can't wait. I opted for the telecompressor and flattener as well.

I specifically asked Daleen if she knew when mine would ship and she said, outside of the general start to shipping in June, she can't tell me when mine will ship. I think people are mistaking this with a guarantee that their scope will ship in June.

It's an estimate. Not a guarantee.

My original acknowledgement for notification list was received at the end of the day on the 18th - nothing yet from A-P as expected. However, I'm not in the "there must be hundreds or thousands of people who signed up in first couple of days" camp".  Perhaps delusional-hope-springs-eternal thinking but if not, my credit card is ready to secure a spot.

A-P I'm ready if you are listening (although I know you are not),  just saying though......!

She didn't estimate that I would get mine in June. When specifically asked she said that beyond the start of shipping in June, there's no other info she can provide. Either way I have a feeling a lot of us will get ours in June.

You have an estimated ship date of June

To me, that is an estimate. :)

No. The wait list was closed in just a couple days from when it was announced at NEAF last year.

Sounds like an estimate to me too. Interesting. Must have been the way I phrased my question.

-gah! I just looked and she DID say I have a June shipping estimate, but it is too early to know when they might begin shipping. Welp! With everything picking up with the emergence of spring and warm weather, I'm sure I'll blink and the Stowaway will be at my door.

Yeah, I have moved on to selecting which camera I want to pair with the Stowaway. By the time I figure that out, it will be at my door. lol.gif

Deposit placed today and still in the June batch.  I’ll have to have compare it with my TV-85 once it arrives.  I am wishing Astro-Physics Godspeed with this second run of the Stowaways. I remain hopeful that I’ll receive it in time to take it to the Golden State Star Party at the end of June in Adin, CA.

I see on the Astro- Physics web site they finally got around to updating the Stowaway photo to it finalized version with decal. I noticed the focusing knobs on the left side are a bit different than on my Stowaway. Is that some kind of auto focuser attached?

Yes that's the HSM30 from Starlight. I plan on using the Posi Drive Motor.
