hi, I own the asi zwo 1600 pro cameras, and atik 383l +, the asi connected to a 103 mm refractor, while the atik to a gso rc 12 inches, I use the apt astrography acquisition software, in the asi zwo camera I can change the gain, while in the atik camera no, what are the ideal settings for the atik camera? it is not possible to change the gain? sorry my english is italian,another question, when imposed in bin 2x2 the stars bloom sideways,a heartfelt thanks to those who can help me out

In Atik's ccd it is not possible to change gain and offset. these adjustments come pre-set
When you do binning, make sure you do it in X and Y

how do you make the bin 2 x 2 x and  y? on apt

I simply configure the 2x2 bin but I can't find any other settings

You can't bin x and y differently if that what you're asking.

 

Edit: I stand corrected, but I don't see the point doing different x,y binning.

In Artemis Capture (the native software) it's possible to change the binning of X and Y.
If the binning of X is different from Y, the image will be elongated.

In APT I don't know if it's possible. It would be good to know.

I thank you for the great help, so with these types of sensors it is better to do the 2x2 bin? to acquire data first?
