Hello,

today Meteoblue announced bad seeing values of almost 3as. Anyway, I tried to catch AR12740 and AR12741 before they would disappear again behind the solar limb as they did one solar rotation before (c.f., here).

The SSM, however, showed good seeing values of <1as  which helped visualize  granulation and both active regions before a warm front would move in:

AR12741:

AR12740 (granulation is not visible because of jpeg compression, it is visible on the original, uncompressed  image):

Best, Laura

Thanks everybody for your kind comments!

Here is a somewhat more processed AR12740 which shows granulation  and contrast in general somewhat better:

Laura -

Outstanding work, especially on the umbrae in the Continuum image. The reprocessed CaK shot is also quite good. Fine resolution in both.

Thanks all for your kind comments!

@KarlL: if you are talking about the last image, that's not CaK but made with a Solar Continuum filter at 540nm.
