Here's a question. I'm new to all of this but certainly enjoying getting it all set up. Not quite there yet, but close.

I have a new 60mm Orion guide scope and a SAAG camera. Last night I replaced my 50mm guide scope with a new 60mm scope. I needed to find a star to focus on. In PHD2, I chose the ASCOM Star Shoot option. I could never find a star to focus the new scope on. I switched to the regular (non ASCOM) Star Shoot option and managed to find a star and focus the camera.

So...which one does everyone use, ASCOM or the non-ASCOM guide camera option?

Thanks

Use the native (non-ASCOM) driver.  PHD works great with it.

I've never even tried the ASCOM driver with mine :)
