Seeing the work a friend has done with Microsoft's ICE on landscapes, I downloaded this free program and I am wondering if anyone has tried ICE for serious astro image stacking?

It might be useful for doing final work on a mosaic, though I'm not sure (it's certainly not optimized to match stars).

But it doesn't appear to do any stacking.

It's very specialized for panoramas.

I’ve never used it on star mosaics but it’s magic on lunar. I was struggling in PixInsight and in literally a minute, it did this.
