Does anyone have experience using the 60mm Masuyama, current type?

Especially for refractors from F7 up.

Is the 60 better than a TV 55mm Plossl for F7+?

I don't think it matters, the 55 plossl has the largest possible true field of any eyepiece (among others).

You would be buying the Masuyama to strictly get a brighter exit pupil which can be good for faint stuff at a dark site (like Veil), worse to use in light pollution.

Edited for clarity

at f/7 the 55mm and 60mm will give huge exit pupils - over 7mm.  So you might be wasting some light.  I just tried the 45mm and 50mm Masuyamas, fantastic, I'd go with those for f/7 or f/8.   The new ones are some of the best eyepeices available in terms of optics and manufacturing quality IMO.

I think you also save quite a bit of cabbage ($) by getting the 45mm Masuyama over the longer ones.
