I have the opportunity to buy a astro-tech AT130 F/6, however I've not been able to find out much about them.  What little I read it appeared to be a very good scope, however if it was so good then why did astro-tech quit making it and switch to the at-130 edt F/7.  So I was wondering a couple of things, is the a decent APO as good or better than the current  at130  edt, and how much is it worth.  The scope appears to be in like new condition but I've only see photos, I hope to go see it in person next week.

Thanks

Brad

The AT130 F6 was only made a short time.  If you have the chance, grab it as it's a rare opportunity.

See this thread for it's introduction.  Here's some more info on it and a current thread also.

Value is a little tricky as there's only a few that come up for sale.

I bought mine (last year) and for less cost I could have ordered  the TS 130 F7, but I wanted a fast 5" Apo with FPL-53 (for Color correction).

Check it out and be sure to post pics if it follows you home.

Thanks Junomike,

I did find one of the articles that you had mentioned above, the one in the article is a parallax with optics from astrotech

The one I'm looking at is identical to this one

https://www.cloudyni...6-amazes/page-2

https://www.cloudyni...azes/?p=8562282

He's under the current edt f/7 by about 200, however I don't know if it has a diagonial or rings of if they came with them or not?

Thanks

Steal!

Unless there's a major issue that is a heck of a deal!
