Hello all! This was actually my image run from the 5th of June and unfortunately my only run of the month, didn't get time to go through the images and post until now. It was a good clear enough night, the temps were comfy, and the wife even hung out for a bit and enjoyed the dark skies with some wine and conversation while I set up. I wish could have tried the others on the list, probably still will, why not right!
Just for fun I used the 224mc to do a timelapse of the telescope setup via a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Allsky freeware. Posted on youtube as unlisted, its a fast 18s vid but at half speed or less its a bit better:
Celestron C8 SCT
cheapy F6.3 reducer
GSO crayford style focuser
SharpCap 3.2 Pro
M57 Ring Nebula at F5 Stack 14x10s @ 350gain
M57 Ring Nebula at F10.5 Stack 63x5s @ 350gain
M57 Ring Nebula SharpCap 65x5s @ 350gain
It was hard to get the histogram to have a peak for some reason, I think i had some trouble with dark frames or something cant quite remember.
The rest of the images were at F5.
M92 Stack 16x10s @ 350gain
NGC 6543 Cats Eye Stack 4x5s @ 200gain
I had a hard time getting a decent stack
NGC 6543 Cats Eye Stack 4x5s croped
NGC 6946 Fireworks Galaxy Stack 50x10s @350gain
Not part of the challenge, but i initially thought it was the Cats Eye, whoops! :0
Had to plate solve via http://nova.astrometry.net/ to figure out what it was
NGC 6552 Stack 40x10s 350gain
NGC 6552 Stack 40x10s 350gain cropped
These challenges are purdy fun and.... challenging Its great to see what others are imaging at and with, keep it up!
