This evening we watched The Mechanic, a 1972 film staring Charles Bronson. The film was his break out roll. In the opening sequence he uses his Questar to gather information for a contract!

The film was dated but the first ten minutes were great!

 Enjoy

Hi Don, there’s a second famous Questar in Hollywood. I was working with Q in 1983 when we were approached by the producers of the movie Body Double. They wanted to use my telescope in the movie but they could not promise that they could take proper care of it, so I did not loan them mine, and they ended up buying one. We always just figured that one of the producers wanted one so they had the production pay for it and then the producer ended up taking it home at the end of the shoot.

Hope all is well,

Ron

"Way Way Out" with Jerry Lewis and Anita Ekberg, circa 1967.

Q used to bludgeon someone over the head.

I never thought of a Questar as a blunt force instrument, but I guess it proves that they do live up to their reputation of being versatile.

Funny I always thought astronomy was a spectator sport...

(Hit a guy with a Seven and see what really happens!)
