I used a luminance-IR cutoff filter but no light pollution filter.

Nicely done, Gipht. The Pillars of Creation sit within the larger nebula like a pearl in an oyster. This is one of the most exotic targets, in my opinion, I have yet to shoot. It's on my list for July, when it's highest in the sky from Maine.

I'm hoping to get my new ASI071-Pro up and running this coming week. M16 is the next image on my list and will be at a dark site. I have a SVA130T F/7 and since the aperture is the only difference do you recall about how much you cropped it? I'll do the first session with the DSLR T3i (Mod) and the sensor is almost the same size as the ASI071.

This was a crop where 60% of the photograph remained. The purpose of the cropping was to have more of a close up on the nebula. The stacked photograph was good to the about 50 pixels from the edge.
