Quick question, is there any difference between these 3 types of Prism coatings?

Sometimes I see them used interchangeably, sometimes they are listed as different things

Every single website does this too, I would think Phase coatings and Prism coatings are the same thing but who knows

What do you guys think

Phase coatings and phase correction are a specific type of coating only needed on roof prism binoculars. Porro prisms can't have them and wouldn't need them. Prism coatings are the coatings on any prism. They could be uncoated, coated(single coated), or multi-coated. These are anti-reflection coatings, and separate from phase coatings.

Rich V has a excellent (short) explanation about Phase Coating and Roof prism here (post #7): https://www.cloudyni...coating-spikes/

And next to that, some types of roof prisms, notably Schmidt-Pechan, require a reflective layer which you'll see referred to as aluminium, silver or dielectric.
