Hello,

unfortunately my 2nd hand bought Tak FSQ-106 is out of collimation. This is confirmed.

The scope was bought 1st hand in the US and resides now in the UAE.

I was advised that best way is to send it directly to TAK in Japan.

Does someone of you have a contact for TAK in Japan ? I can not find anything on their web-page.

Any experiences with dealing with them directly ?

Thank you very much

Christian

Their contact details are here :-

http://www.takahashi...om/support.html

However I don't believe they would deal with customers directly. Usually Japanese makers would provide support through their dealers.

I would use a cheshire eyepiece and collimate it myself.

You could always write to them and ask where to send it

I would use a cheshire eyepiece and collimate it myself.

That would likely be very difficult with a quadruplet apo lens.  I think having the manufacturer do it is the OP's best bet.

Even if you bought it used, I'll bet your local dealer would be able to help you get it fixed.

Thank you all for your replies.
I have bought a Fsq-85 from Telescope Austria with a super customer service.
I contacted them and they are willing to help.

Regards
Christian
