I want to try an Alt-Az GoTo Mount for my 8” SCT and 4”F7 APO. I am looking for best bang for the buck. Any recommendations?

I have a SkyView Pro Eq that could be converted to Go-To. But I want a quick setup on my deck without having to Polar Align.

The Sirius AZ-EQ PRO is perfect, I have an 8" and 4". You can use both at the same time also. Perfect mount for mounting the refractor with its length or the SCT. Get the pier extension for even with a chair you will need the extra height. BTW great mount for EAA in the AZ configuration or AP in the EQ configuration IMHO.

I use an iOptron AZ Mount Pro with a C8 and TV NP101 regularly.  As long as it is kept in good balance, it works like a dream.  Built in battery, WiFi, GPS and only 1 wire.  I run it with Sky Safari on an iPad.

Like Spikey131, i also use the iOptron AZ Pro with Sky Safari on a tablet.
It easily handles the scopes you have and is an excellent choice. I would only sell my AZ Pro for notably more money than I paid for it.

You have two options (IMO)

1) Add the iOptron AZ Pro and keep the Skyview pro (to have a GEM)

2) Replace the Skyview Pro with the Orion AZ Pro as it can do both.

Option one is probably the lighter/easier choice.

I wan’t sure if the iOptron AZ Pro was robust enough for the scopes I have. Based on your accounts I now know it will work. Thanks.
