…in poor seeing, in between cloud banks:

RGB_003-005_3ppAd.jpg

Jupiter w/GRS 2019-06-16 10:14 UTC, 30˚ elevation
Skywatcher 180 (2700mm f/15 Mak-Cass)
12.5mm Kokusai Kohki Fujiyama HD orthoscopic
Canon T3i (stock) LiveView Capture (via AstroDSLR v1.3)
Orion SkyView Pro EQ GoTo Mount (sidereal track)
Aligned & stacked in Lynkeos v.3.1
RGB Processed in Lynkeos & Photoshop CS5 w/
Annie's Astro Actions v7.0 & Astronomy Tools v1.6
Scale = 3.0 pixels per Airy disk (λ = 536nm)
Seeing = 2/5, jetstream = 55 m/s
Outback Northern Territory, Australia

The sky has cleared up again for the moment. I might give it another go in the hopes that higher elevations produce better results…

Considering the conditions under which this image was taken, very good! And quite good generally.

30* elevation. That is about the best we can now get in North America. Nice image!

Thanks for the kind words and likes!

Curiuosly, the image looks way better on my phone than on my laptop.

I find that also, I usually email myself a copy of the photo so I can see it on my phone before posting. What looks bright and clear on my laptop looks dark and muddy on my phone, higher contrast maybe.

No idea what my images looks like on other people's devices smile.gif

Sure enough, the results were markedly better at 59˚:
