I've finally got the nexstar focuser working, but had a really basic and maybe dumb question.  On the hand controller it lets you pick a position to go to.  When i had the unit off the scope and tried one, it kept spinning for quite a while.

Is there a point in the rotation that is too far and could cause damage to the actual focus knob on the scope?

For now i'm getting used to the hand controller focus options with the focus motor off of the scope to test it.

In my case the 8se.

Thanks in advance.
