I finally figured out a way to position my scope to see Polaris, and so I took the plunge and bought a qhyccd polemaster with the CGEM adapter.  It arrived today, and though I was able to attach the adaptor to my mount just fine, the screws that attach the mounting plate to the camera seem to be too narrow for the holes in the back of the camera.  They thread onto the plate OK, but they just slide in and out of the camera.  I’ve put support requests in the qhyccd and the retailer I bought it from, but I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue, and what their solution might have been.  Crazy glue?

I just looked at mine and from what you wrote it sounds like you're trying to attach backwards?  The screws (3) are inserted on the camera side and screw down into the base.  At least that is how my 2 year old polemaster is.

I just got my QHY Polemaster today and yes the screws are fed from thecamera side and into the red support base. This polemaster is a breeze to use. I am able to take up to 1 min subs without guiding after polar alignment.

I had to cut some branches to get 10 degrees of view for Polaris area. Well worth it.The two pics above are the before and after. 😁
