Astro-Tech no longer has their logo on the dew shield?

It was a mistake at manufacturer, but is being taken care of.  See post #112 in this thread.

Very nice service.

Sorry for the very delayed response here.  I did get the refund for my discount applied a few days back, but have been spending a bit of time this weekend playing with a new Chromebook and finally exchanging it for a Galaxy Tab (see Pixelbook thread).  On top of that, I also had to rebuild my desktop so my online time has been hit-and-miss the last few days.  My apologies if it took too long, I didn't want to make anyone, especially Astronomics look bad.

That’s what I was saying in post # 35. The Aston Martin Grey sets it apart from the others.

Also the beautiful metal-flake paint, which is never visible in all the photos I’ve seen, may set it apart from other similar offerings.

I personally think the paint is understated here ( I get it, it’s about the views through the instrument ), but a beautiful finish on the tube is also part of its personality.

Beautiful to look at and through.

Looking at that link, if you go to the focuser section under telescope accessories, I don't see any of their focusers that match what AT is using.

That is a bummer! I would be crying if it was me. I’m glad it’s okay though.

There wasn't any damage to the focuser, which is impressive given the fall it took. It turns out the fine focus knob got pushed in and was catching a bit on the coarse knob. Once I spaced them back out a bit, the notichiness went away.

You can barely tell it fell, save for a couple of superficial marks. I say it has character now.

Replacement dew shields, with a logo, should be here in October when the next shipment of scopes arrive. We will ship them out to customers as soon as they get here.

Any word on the replacement dew shields?

Thanks.

I suspect Fred's passing may have delayed the October delivery and processing, so I'm content and in no hurry to ask Astronomics about them right now.

Was not aware.

I made an inquiry about the AT72EDii a few weeks ago. The response from Astronomics was that there is a shipment due in October, but there was no firm ETA at that time. I suspect that the shipment is in the works, but of course things are most likely delayed a bit. It will only be a matter of time and the shipment will be in.

Will this refractor ever actually be in stock?

I assume that you asking about the AT72EDii. I sent an email to Astronomics on the 11th and the response was that the shipment has been delayed by the supplier and availability is pushed back to later this month or early December.

I am still wondering about the replacement dew shield for the AT 102.

I now they where suppose to have arrived a while ago and the lost of Fred from Astronomics would of course set things back for a while "which is very understandable".

But I do get emails from Astronomics with sales and other items for sale at least once a day so business is obviously back to normal for the most part.

Some update on this would be nice.

They are with the shipment of refractors that is on the water currently.  They are however, 2 months late.  The original ship date was 10/6, but that came an went.  We had set up the shipment of scopes in June, and something just pushed the delivery back.  However, rest assured that they will be here and we will ship the dew shield out as soon as it arrives.

I hope you ask for a shipping address before you ship this out, I have moved to another address. I would not want it going to my old address.

Thanks, Jack
