Hi Simoes,

When I placed my order Jim at Q said that since each scope was hand made it would optimistically ship in 7 weeks. You're well ahead of me in the Q queue smile.gif

What size and version did you order?

It’s a little surprising they don’t have a popular configuration in stock for quick ship purchases.

But maybe they are still catching up after the product intro 65 years ago.

This is somewhat off topic, but the fact that the first Questar came out 65 years ago in 1954 leads me to wonder if Questar is beginning to plan for production of a 75th-anniversary edition Questar. Company 7's page on the 50th-anniversary edition says planning for that one began in 1999, which was 20 years ago this year. The first 50th-anniversary Q was delivered a year later. With Questar having produced a 25th- and 50th-anniversary Q, why not a 75th-anniversary one?

If the anniversary were imminent and if I ran Questar I’d launch the new Pelican case in a special color for the anniversary model and along with special badging I’d include the full eyepiece set and a full solar in the “loaded” pack.

I’d also try to return to the original logo and get the barrel skins in purple.

Placed my order Nov 8, 2018.  Took delivery April 15....so....5 months.   Worth every minute of

an....tici........pation!  Time to consider ordering more Brandons.  Tristand is superb.  When you check out the airy disc on a 2-3 mag star in stable air.....pretty **** cool!  In-out focus almost identical. Very little focus shift.   Setting circles... spot on.  Takes time to hand craft one of the finest small aperature scopes on the planet.  The best?....no.  But for $5k....**** fine and just handy as a toothbrush.  Congrats and enjoy!

Hi MOX,

Five months! Wow hope it doesn't take that long smile.gif

I currently have a few Brandons (24mm through 6mm) along with the #82 light blue, #30 magenta, and Questar UHC filter. Depending on how it goes, I my have 12, 8, and 6mm rebarreled for the Q.

Joao,

GREAT NEWS!  But remember, Martin Cohen at C7 likes to do his own testing of the optics and system before he delivers, so might need to add a day or two to the delivery date.

And remember, post pictures HERE when it arrives!  We are all excited for and with you.

Toxo
