Hi all.
Thinking of getting a full frame 6d.
Can anyone advise if my scopes light circle would fill a full frame sensor?
I use my canon 1000d directly connected to the 2 inch focuser with no probs or vignetting.
Skywatcher 200p
1000mm focal length.
200mm mirror
f/5
Cheers

I think you could observe not only significant vignetting, but also large coma at corners.

Probably you will need larger secondary mirror and Paracorr.

Have a look at Astrobin and apply the proper camera/scope filters and do a search.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.
I have looked online and astrobin. There's some great looking images with this exact setup, but perhaps the results may be cropped.
I have a 2 inch baader mpcc coma corrector.
Perhaps I'll just take the chance.

You will get the optical problems mentioned above.  However the 6D is a much better camera that what you have. So you can just crop your image.

I have the 6d II and am going to give it a go once I've got all my gear together from our move. I won't buy any extras until I see how it does by itself. Then, we'll see.
