This is possibly another personal best.

I've captured the hexagon before in pristine conditions, but my inexperience that morning last year resulted in data that lended itself to artifacts, lots of noise, weird colors.

Tonight's conditions weren't quite so pristine (still good!), but the frames are much more stable.  I shortened the exposure time considerably, pumped up the gain beyond what I'd normally do, and captured some huge # of frames over 4 minutes.  As a result I have an image free of artifacts or "rinds" on the disc, and rings that appear homogenous without strange artifacts around the Cassini division.

Very nice shot. I think I can see a bit of Saturn through the Cassini division.
