I setup my new 071 and connected it to SharpCap first and everything worked fine. Now I'm trying to learn APT and set the camera up there. When I click on 'Connect' ASCOM Camera Chooser comes up and the only option other than the two simulators is 'ASCOM Driver for Nebulosity' . I check properties and it says " nothing to do here." so I hit ok. Connect...message log says "Cannot connect to Camera. Exception occurred."

I'm sure it's me that has missed something but I not sure how to correct it.

Any ideas?

BTW-I don't have Nebulosity.

Yes I did. But maybe I should re-install them again. I just assumed because it work fine in SharpCap that there should'nt be a problem in that area. However with it tagging ASCOM Driver for Nebulosity I'm wondering....scratchhead2.gif

OK...Reloading the Drivers and got it now connecting.  I suspect SharpCap to be different. Thks.  I'm not sure where the Nebulosity driver came from . I guess it is either part of the driver downloads or left over from when I was playing around with the Nebulosity program earlier this year.

Now I can hopefully move forward to learning the rest of APT. I'm coming from BackyardEOS using a DSLR background going into APT and  the cooled 071.

Thank You santafe retiree!!!

Problem solved!!! :-)

I scrolled down on the drivers page and installed,

"ASI Cameras ASI Cameras ASCOM driver to support our cameras."

under the

"ASCOM Drivers (optional)"

heading.

It works like a charm now. I'll append this to your July post.
