I use EQmod to control my Atlas Pro AZ/EQ mount.  When I am centering a star and move the mount North or South , I get a little jog to the East or West before or just as the mount moves N or S.  The movement isn't large just a star width or two, but I assume there should be no E / W movement if I am pressing N or S.  I do not notice movement N or S when I press the E or W key.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this or what it may indicate?   I do have the R.A. and Dec clutches tightened.

How are you powering the mount?

If you do not provide enough current there can be a voltage drop when the Dec motor starts..

I have a 10 amp power supply so don't think that is the problem.
