Wasn't sure where else this post would go, hopefully this is the right place!

My team at Google New York worked closely with the operators of the Ivanpah Solar Facility this last weekend to record a tribute to Apollo and Software Engineering pioneer Margaret Hamilton using 107,000 mirrors and the nearly-full moon.

There were endangered tortoise, the most venomous rattlesnakes in North America and the hottest temperatures of the last year in the Mojave Desert but we managed to finally get the shot. I mainly provided astronomy support to the team and the time lapse night photography.

Working on a follow up with more behind the scenes info and will post it here if folks are interested!

That is one of the most wonderful things I've ever seen with my eyes.  Wow !  And what a lot of hard work and love to honor a great woman.
